A Step Towards Women Safety- FIR and ICE Apps by Mumbai Police

I recently came across two APPS that look very promising in terms of WOMEN SAFETY, so thought of sharing the same with all of you.
Women safety has been a growing concern over the years and if technology can add any support to ease the pressure and help women get better or added safety, then why not….
  1. FIR – Thane Rural Police – First Immediate Response (F.I.R)

About the App:In case of any emergency you can use FIR app. FIR app will send user’s Geo-location (using GPS of mobile device) to the Control Room of Mira Bhayander Police on a single click of help button.
This app is also available for iOS
Check out the related video on how this app works

2. ICE – Mumbai Police – KPMG in India
Mumbai ce

About the app:Emergency situations can arise unannounced and with impunity. The Law Enforcement and Emergency Response Agencies are able to react and contain the losses only upon their arrival on the scene. However, when emergency strikes, if we are aware of emergency response procedures as first responders then we can not only minimize the impact but also build resilience around our communities. ICE Mumbai police APP.

Engineering Students Dialogues : MADE BY THEM, USED BY THEM.

Engineering, the most exciting and amazing journey of one’s life; you will understand if you have ever given those competitive exams. After a lot of struggle and pressure during and after 12th board exams, the place where science stream students land is heaven and hell together.

The college days, or better to say engineering days that will take you up and down on your front and back are tough to forget. These days capture an everlasting space in one’s heart and mind and never leave your memory till you die. The engineering college students have a lot in common, they carry some similar sense and here are some most interesting, crazy and popular Engineering college students dialogues that most of you can relate to.

1. “STEPS KE MARKS MILENGE? TO FIR TERA BHAI PASS HAI.”

The crowd exiting the exam halls after the first engineering examination is neither happy nor sad. Why, the paper didn’t go well? Even after attempting the whole paper and writing in every inch of the answer sheet, they all have a doubt, if they will be able to pass or not. Only a few faces in the crowd would be happy; happy about chances that they will pass. And if you ask them if they had done well in the paper this is what they have to say: STEPS KE MARKS MILENGE? TAB TO TERA BHAI PASS HAI.

\

2. “DASS LIYA YAAR, KITNA DASTA HAI”

Engineers and their thoughts are something different, it’s something crazy. Every gang has their own way to think and talk. When you say something which they don’t like, this is what they will probably say, “DASS LIYA YAAR. KITNA DASTA HAI BHAI.”

The quote has been derived from and related to snakes. It indicates that the person is saying such a bakwaas that the person hearing it can die of the poison of his words.

3. “CHALO CS KHELTE HAI.

CS, not the branch of Engineering, but a game. A game that has been identified as the basic element of engineering life for some computer gamers. Counter strike, the most popular computer LAN game has been the choice of majority of engineers. It’s not that they spend an hour or two playing this game, but the game once started will continue througout the day. You will be shocked to know that engineering students had been found playing this game more than their sleep hours.

4. “CHAL TAPRI (THE CHILLING STATION) CHALTE HAI.”

Tapri, home away from home for engineering college students. Tapris outside a Engineering college seems to be the second home after hostel for many of those doing an engineering degree. Chai, Coffee, Biscuit, Sutta, Snacks and a lot of other things all at one place. Availiable sitting arrangements makes it more happening, and a place to hang around and pass time. A stall or small shop near a tree just outside the boundary of engineering colleges serves around thousands of daily customers. And at the top of it, he will maintain your accounts and even give you things on credit. Credit – that’s another catchy service.

The list is long and ever going as more and more gets added up with time. And I don’t think they need a description.

5. THE BHAI DIALOGUE: “AREY TU TO BHAI HAI APNA”

6. THE JUGAAD ONES: “BHAI KOI JUGAAD HAI”, BHAI KOI JUGAAD KAR NA”, “JUGAAD LAGA NA BHAI”, “APNA JUGAAD HAI”

7. THE EPIC EXAM HALL ONES:

7.1 “BHAI BUS HEADING BATA DE BAAKI TERA BHAI KHUD LIKH LEGA”

I know we are missing a lot others, comment below and let us know what are the latest and trending dialogues among today’s engineers !!

Dialogues Every Engineer Student Says.

With the Last Few Days of Semester 1 to go, I have experienced all the aspects of what Engineering is in terms of Academics is all about. Our Semesters are Short but Exams Last upto 2 centuries. We take 12 hours to get ready for a 12 minute viva and only thing we don't expect to hear in the entire viva is 'RE-VIVA'.

So here are a few of the Dialogues that an Engineering Student Says On Different Occasions.

On being Late
(standing at the door... gesturing to a friend)"Andar aaon kya?Kab chalu hua?"
"Attendance ho gaya kya??"
"I was searching for the Classroom"
 "Train was late"
"Yaar vo Turbe Naka pe bohot traffic tha"

During Lecture
 "Biscuit? Bhook lagi hai.
"Heads, We go home. Tails, We go home.
 "Bola tha Bunk karenge"
 "Teacher Dekhe tab utha dena"
"Sir! Vo Banda Regular hai, bas aaj nahi aya."
 "Bhai Proxy laga dena"
"Yaar Kisi ke pass Power Bank hai."
"Journal Sheet hain?"

Lab
"Yaar Ye Sab chapa hai fir bhi likhvate hai."
"Bhai tu bas reading bata, thoda manipulate kar lunga main."
"Experiment 2 likha?"
"Practicals Hone vale hai?"
"Kya karna hai iska?"
"Kuch bhi karvaate hai ye practicals ke naam pe."
"Journal likh ke hua?"

Unit Test
"Lagi Padi Hai Yaar"

Sumbission
"Bhai Likhke de na 2 pages."
"Ye har saal ka natak, vese bhi raddi me hi dete honge"
"Last date kya hai."
"I didn't know the last date."

{classic submission conversation}

A: Ye tune kya likha hai / teri handwriting aisi kyun hai?
B: Jo word samajh mein aa raha hai woh likh , jo nahi samajh mein aa raha hai uska drawing nikal
maine Jaideep se likha hai, mera assignment check ho gaya , tu bhi wohi kar.
Jo word samajh mein aa raha hai woh likh , jo nah samajh mein aa raha hai woh chhod de.

 Late Submission (Printouts).
"Format pata nahi tha"
"Vo friday ko light gayi thi sir."
"Printer is not working today."

VIVA (before exam)
"submission ab tak hua nahi hai , VIVA kya ghanta doonga"
"Dekh Boss !! external bhi aadmi hai. Usko pata hai students ka ab tak preparation nahi hua hai......(ekdum emotional )"

VIVA (after exam)
"yeh bhi syllabus mein thaa kya?"
"achha !!! ye aise hota hai kya?"
"ye subject ka reference book kaunsa hai"
"Class ke notes  mein to alag hai"
